Abstract:Bis(macrocyclic) complexes are investigated as artificial analogues of natural dinuclear metalloenzymes. Two ligands containing two cyclam rings connected through a cresol or 4‑nitrophenol spacer were synthesized and their complexing properties were investigated. CuII complexes were prepared and their properties were studied by a combination of spectral, diffraction and electrochemical methods. The phenolate group is not or only weakly coordinated to the central CuII ion and the two macrocycles behave mostly a… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
