“…Silver-gold mixed clusters are prepared by simultaneous sputtering of four silver-gold alloy targets (composition Ag 70:Au 30; MaTeck, Jülich, Germany) with accelerated xenon ion beams of 12 keV kinetic energy. The xenon ion beams are generated by a cold reflex discharge ion source (CORDIS [20] ) and directed onto the targets by an electrostatic lens system (see Figure 1).
