Core principles of evolutionary medicine

Abstract: This study analyzed survey responses from 46 experts to create a consensus list of 14 Core Principles for Evolutionary Medicine. These principles illustrate the wide range of evolutionary applications in medicine, including seeking evolutionary explanations for vulnerability to disease. Focusing instruction on these principles will advance evolutionary understanding in medicine.
