Core-Selecting Secondary Spectrum Auctions

Abstract: Abstract-In a secondary spectrum market, the utility of a secondary user often depends on not only whether it wins, but also which channels it wins. Combinatorial auctions are a natural fit here to allow secondary users to bid for combinations of channels. In this context, the VCG mechanism constitutes a generic auction that uniquely guarantees both truthfulness and efficiency. There also exists related auction design that relaxes efficiency due to perceived complexity issues, and focuses on truthfulness. Star… Show more

“…To cope with the selfish behavior of the users, the AMS-FFR scheme is designed to be incentive-compatible, where truth-telling is the dominant strategy of the users competing for resources [28]. The dominant strategy is the one that maximizes the bidder's utility regardless of the other bidders' strategies [29].…”

“…The higher the hierarchy, the greater the need for confidentiality and data security. Secondly, according to the evaluation results of Attribute Relevance (AR) between users, all users are divided into different groups by using the metagraph theory [16], [19]. Assume that each user has a set of attributes that including specialty, access data preference, security level, etc., and denoted as U AS = {uas 1 , uas 2 , .…”

“…Pan et al 18 proposed a session-based spectrum auction system called spectrum cloud in multi-hop CR networks. Combinatorial auction has been considered in Zhu et al, 19 which means buyers can bid for combinations of spectrum bands. Li et al 20 proposed a novel multiround service-oriented combinatorial spectrum auction with two-tier framework support.…”
