CoReHA 2.0: A Software Package forIn VivoMREIT Experiments

Abstract: Magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography (MREIT) is a new medical imaging modality visualizing static conductivity images of electrically conducting subjects. Recently, MREIT has rapidly progressed in its theory, algorithm, and experiment technique and now reached to the stage of in vivo animal experiments. In this paper, we present a software, named CoReHA 2.0 standing for the second version of conductivity reconstructor using harmonic algorithms, to facilitate in vivo MREIT reconstruction of conduc… Show more

“…We confirmed the quality of reconstructed B z ,1 and B z ,2 images by also performing conductivity reconstruction using the harmonic B z algorithm (Seo et al 2003) via CoReHA 2.0 software(Jeon and Woo 2013). Figure 5 shows the reconstruction results and profile.…”

“…CoReHA 2.0 software , a single‐step implementation of the harmonic Bz algorithm , was used to reconstruct relative conductivity distributions. The harmonic Bz algorithm estimates the conductivity distribution σ in a given slice by incorporating the harmonic relationship between the 2D σ and the Laplacian of Bz .…”

“…Therefore, harmonic in‐painting of phase data was implemented to replace the data in this area. A ramp‐preserving denoising preprocessing step was also applied to the data to improve the overall SNR. As implemented in CoReHA, the harmonic Bz algorithm is capable of producing only equivalent isotropic‐scaled conductivity images.…”

“…Hence CT, PET, SPECT procedures have some disadvantages. Recently, EIT, magnetic resonance electrical impedance tomography (MREIT) [116,126,127,151,167,183,214], magnetic resonance electrical property tomography (MREPT) [222,223,224], Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM) [141,145,211,212] have been studied for brain imaging.…”
