Coring

Abstract: Coring of several types has played a key role in recovering, from sediments and other deposits, information concerning the background environmental changes at archaeological sites, as well as ecological changes associated with human activities. Coring devices have also been used with good success to assess the potential and the extent of large archaeological sites and to discover new sites with minimal disturbance.
