Background Bilateral subclavian artery stenosis is a rare peripheral artery disease. This case study presents a patient who underwent an emergency thrombectomy for this condition.
Case presentation The diagnosis of bilateral subclavian artery stenosis was confirmed through perioperative measurement of radial arterial blood pressure in both upper limbs and postoperative examination.
Conclusion The study highlights the crucial need for accurately measuring blood pressure in all limbs to prevent perioperative complications resulting from inaccurate readings, delayed interventions, or unnecessary procedures.
