Corporate governance, board connections and remuneration

Abstract: Good corporate governance underpins good corporate social responsibility (CSR) through value-creating stakeholder relationships. When properly composed and compensated, the board of directors, an important corporate governance mechanism, plays an efficient monitoring role, reducing agency cost.
