Corporate Social Responsibility in the Health Sector

Abstract

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has become a cornerstone of contemporary business practices, embodying a company's dedication to ethical conduct, sustainable development, and social welfare. The healthcare sector, due to its essential role in society and the increasing demand for enhanced healthcare services, has recently gained prominence as a focal point for CSR initiatives. This study aims to investigate the contributions of leading companies, specifically Canon and Sony, as ranked by the RepTrak platform for corporate reputation, to the healthcare sector as part of their CSR activities. By analyzing their annual and sustainability reports from 2023, this research seeks to identify their tangible contributions to healthcare and evaluate the correlation between CSR practices and corporate reputation.
