Tonic Zhong Tang is a formula in Chen Su'an Gynecological Supplementary Solution for the treatment of late menstruation, which is characterized by the use of the wind medicine Pueraria Mirifica. Few studies have been conducted on the use of Pueraria Mirifica in the treatment of late menstruation. This article summarizes the role of Pueraria Mirifica in Tonic Chinese Soup in terms of the spleen, stomach, kidney, tiankui, rheumatism and qi-blood, and concludes that there are five roles of Pueraria Mirifica in Tonic Chinese Soup: supporting Si Jun to strengthen the spleen and stomach; supporting Si Wu to nourish the source of chemistry; helping Shan Yao to enrich tiankui; helping Xiang Shen to open the rheumatism; and helping Chen Pi to tonify non-stagnation. It is also combined with modern pharmacological studies on Pueraria Mirifica to provide circumstantial evidence.
