Abstract: Natron has been implicated in the pathogenesis of peripartum cardiomyopathy, probably due to oxidative stress. The current research investigated the correlation between the antioxidant status of cardiac muscles and serum biochemical indices of cardiac function of postpartum albino rats administered natron.
