Correlation between the Higgs decay rate to two photons and the muon g − 2

Abstract: In the context of minimal supersymmetry with slepton mass universality we find that an enhancement in h → γγ by at least 40%, as hinted by present data, implies a deviation of the muon anomalous magnetic moment by exactly the right amount to explain the observed anomaly. The enhancement in h → γγ selects a light stau with large left-right mixing, a light Bino, and heavy higgsinos. The corresponding parameters are compatible with thermal dark matter, predict small deviations in h → Zγ and h → τ τ , and measurab… Show more

Experimental constraints were then applied to these mSUGRA model points which include the limits on sparticle masses from LEP [44]:…”

“…From the measured Higgs mass one obtains in High Scale SUSY the range 10 3 − 10 10 GeV, depending on tan β. It is interesting that in both cases the value of M S US Y must be much smaller than M GUT [40].…”

“…For example, several fine tuned SUSY extensions of the SM have been studied like Split SUSY [38] or High Scale SUSY [39,40]. There have also been reappraisals of non SUSY Grand Unified Theories (GUT) where again one completely disregards fine tuning [41][42][43].…”
