Abstract: This study aimed to investigate the role of serum uric acid (UA) in early identification of the severity, prognosis and complications in patients with severe acute pancreatitis (SAP). The clinical data of SAP patients were collected retrospectively (n=268), and patients were divided into high UA group and low UA group based on the median UA level.
