Corrosion Behavior and Wear Resistance for Ti-18Nb-xCu Alloys

Abstract: Corrosion behavior and wear resistance were investigated for three prepared alloys (Ti-18Nb-xCu) by powder metallurgy method with adding three weight percents of Cu (5, 7 and 9 wt %). The wear results show that Ti-18Nb-7Cu alloy has the lowest wear rate due to hard Ti2Cu phase which mostly formed in the percent of 7%Cu.
