Abstract:An auxiliary electrode for high-temperature sulfur sensors was synthesized with H 2 S at the surface of zirconia partially stabilized by magnesia (MgO-PSZ). MgO-PSZ was first corroded in a 40% HF solution under ultrasonic conditions at room temperature for different times. A sulfur sensor, Mo|Mo, Mo 2 S 3 |ZrS 2 + MgS|ZrO 2 (MgO)|ZrS 2 + MgS|[S] Fe |Mo, was developed and tested in carbon-saturated liquid iron. The results show that a phase transformation from tetragonal to monoclinic takes place on the surface… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
