Abstract:To elevate the resistance to corrosion of magnesium alloys, silicon and zinc were simultaneously coated on the surface of AZ31 magnesium alloy using magnetron sputtering. The corrosion characteristics of the coated and uncoated samples were evaluated using electrochemical tests.
