Abstract:OBJECTIVE: Dyslipidemia, in particular elevated total and low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), results in atherosclerosis and increases the risk of cardiovascular (CV) events. Despite treatment with statins, many patients fail to reduce their LDL-C enough to optimally minimize their risk.
