Counterflow infiltration combustion in conditions of fluid-dynamic instability: Fingering in low gas flow

Abstract: Counterflow infiltration combustion in conditions of fluid dynamic instability was numerically studied in terms of the 2D model of a slit like reactor suggested previously. The gas permeability of combus tion products was assumed to be smaller than that of porous fuel. Fluid dynamic instability gives rise to con tortion of a planar combustion front.
