“…Researchers interested in multiculturalism and social justice across consilient fields recognize the value of CGT studies (Austin, 2016;Huang & Fang, 2019;Kimball et al, 2016;St. Arnault & Merali, 2019;Taylor & Russell-Mayhew, 2018) as have integration scholars (Hall et al, 2019;Maxwell et al, 2020;Smith et al, 2019;Wilson et al, 2014). CGT is flexible and invites the integration of other forms of qualitative methods (Charmaz, 2014) such as transcendental and heuristic phenomenology (Moustakas, 1990(Moustakas, , 1994 Sultan (2020) highlights the importance of heuristic inquiry to clinical practice and researchers have meaningfully contributed to the study of MSP using heuristic methods (Nuttall, 2006;Yenpasook, 2016).…”

“…This secure attachment may be accompanied by the conviction that God considers their relationship valuable, to be protected and cared for, which generates individual and shared behaviour, emotions, and thoughts that further enhance the couple's relationship with one another and with God. This means a sense of unity and togetherness, which goes beyond the level of the couple and affects relationships in the family and within the community (MAXWELL et al 2018).…”

“…Research shows as well that marriages of partners professing the same faith are more stable (See Curtis and Ellison 2002;Lehrer and Chiswick 1993;cf. Bahr 1981, p. 260;Maxwell et al 2020) and are characterized by a higher level of satisfaction with conjugal life (See Koenig et al 2001;Olson et al 2015). Furthermore, religiosity is related to greater involvement in marital life and satisfaction with marriage (See Larson and Goltz 1989;Burr et al 2012;Mahoney et al 2001;Sherkat and Ellison 1999;Wieradzka-Pilarczyk and Pilarczyk 2016;Spencer et al 2021), and it is especially the husbands' higher religiosity that leads to the wives' greater satisfaction with marriage (Rose et al 2018).…”
