Abstract:Polyaniline (PANI) nanofibers with a high aspect ratio have been synthesized through adding trace superparamagnetic Fe3O4 microspheres under magnetic field in a 0.010 M HCl solution. Morphological evolution shows that PANI nanofibers stem from the PANI coating shell synthesized on the surface of Fe3O4 microsphere chains. This study provides a new method to fabricate nanofibers of conducing polymers at high pH values.
