Coverage area simulation for indoor 4G networks in 2.6 GHz and 3.5 GHz

Abstract: This paper conducts a simulation analysis of probability reception in detecting radio signal levels in an indoor environment. Femtocell simulations were performed that considered fourth generation (4G) networks, operating at 2.6 GHz (LTE-4G), and WiMAX, at 3.5 GHz. Two indoor scenarios were chosen for this study and simulated signals with and without and interference. The Padè approximant model was used to calculate the propagation loss and received power probability. Environmental factors such as the number o… Show more

“…In [64], the authors employed this model at 2.6 and 3. : complex field amplitude of the i th ray at the receiver, : reference field strength, : field amplitude radiation pattern of the transmitter antenna, : field amplitude radiation pattern of the receiver antenna, ( ): path loss distance dependence for the i th multipath component, Γ( ): reflection coefficient, Τ( ): transmission coefficient, − : propagation phase factor due to path length ( = 2 / ). The ray-tracing model X3D in simulation software WI was applied, and the resulting data was post processed and compared with measurement results.…”
