Abstract:The palm is of great importance for maintaining a functioning hand. The reconstructive demands of thickness, texture, color matching, pliability, and sensation for palmar defects represent a unique challenge for plastic surgeons. This study introduced a novel versatile design for the ulnar palmar artery perforator flap (UPAPF) to cover large palmar soft-tissue defects of the hand.
