Covert capture and attenuation of a hippocampus-dependent fear memory

Abstract: Reconsolidation may be a viable therapeutic target to inhibit pathological fear memories. In the clinic, incidental or imaginal reminders are used to safely retrieve traumatic memories of experiences that occurred elsewhere.
