“…Among the very severe cutaneous ADRs, there is a condition defined by rapid onset of innumerable pustules, called acute generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP), which may be seen as a mimicker of generalized psoriasis pustulosa. Interestingly, both a case of AGEP associated with a viral vector vaccine [79] and a pustular flare of psoriasis associated with an inactivated virus COVID-19 vaccine [80] have been published recently. Another case report was classified as an overlap between AGEP and drug reaction with eosinophilia and systemic symptoms (DRESS) associated with a viral vector vaccine [81].…”

“…There are a few cases reported in the literature about AGEP after vaccine, both mRNA and viral vector vaccine. The hypothesis is that vaccination could induce the same immunologic response that is seen after SARS-CoV-2 infection; indeed, the same cytokine cascade is released in both cases [2,7,13,14] Our case was the first reported patient with clinical manifestations of cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) arising after the first dose of vaccination. In fact, it is now known that in patients with COVID-19, there is an immune hyper-activation, with increased levels of type I and III IFN, with the release of related cytokines, which in turn lead to the progression of inflammation [15,16].…”

“…To our knowledge, we report the first case of AZD1222 vaccine‐induced ALEP. Accompanied with the Korean's case, 5 current reports of AZD1222 vaccine‐induced ALEP/AGEP are both women and of Asian descent. While the COVID‐19 vaccinated population is increasing globally, more AZD1222 vaccine‐induced ALEP/AGEP cases may be reported.…”

“…Previous case reports include four cases of AGEP, induced by the measles–mumps–rubella, diphtheria–pertussis–tetanus, and pneumococcal vaccines in an American child; 2 influenza vaccine in a pregnant Japanese woman; 3 tetanus toxoid vaccine in an Indian patient; 4 and AZD1222 vaccine in a Korean woman. 5 …”
