Creating a Healing Environment

Abstract: Current focus on empirical data and evidence-driven nursing practice highlights the need to re-examine the importance of nursing theory to guide practice. The purpose of this article is to describe the rationale, approach, and outcomes of an innovative educational approach to teaching Jean Watson's Theory of Human Caring.
