Today, the importance of innovation is particularly emphasised, and since creativity is the basis of innovation it is important to understand the importance of its development. This is especially essential in creative industries where creativity is the main asset of companies. It is significant to understand the factors influencing creativity in order to be able to purposefully stimulate its development. The purpose of the research is to assess the importance of creativity for the development of the company's competitiveness, determine the attitude of representatives of the Latvian creative industries towards the development of creativity, its importance as well as draw conclusions about the possibilities of its development. To meet the purpose of the research, the research methods were used as follows: document analysis, text analysis, content analysis, statistical analysis methods and questionnaire. The results of the research showed that creativity and creative industries are influenced by a wide range of factors, their development can be stimulated, and the company's creative environment can positively influence the sharing of ideas among the employees. Representatives of the Latvian creative industries understand the importance of development of the individual creativity of employees as one of the main competitive advantages in the company, but among them there is no unequivocal attitude towards whether creativity can be taught and whether it needs to be coordinated. It was also concluded that the representatives of the above industries implement innovations and focus more on product innovation.

The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness model development of Project Based Learning (PjBL) based on local wisdom in improving the creativity of the students of Educational Biology Department, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Pakuan University. This research applies Research and Method and Development Model ADDIE, consisting of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation. The data are obtained from validation of three experts namely learning material expert, learning media expert, and learning model expert. The model effectivity testing is done by assessing the students' creativity and assessing their multimedia products. The steps model development are as follows: analysing the needs, designing learning model, developing learning model, validating learning model done by the experts, applying the learning model in classes and evaluating the model. The product created by the students from the learning model PjBL based on local wisdom is a multimedia video about local wisdom. Based data analysis, it can be concluded that the combination of developing learning model Project Based Learning based on local wisdom can improve student creativity in developing environmental learning media. The creativity average score in model experiment class is 74.44 and in implementation class it is 75.12 (scales 1-100), and the average score for multimedia product in experiment class is 2.5 and in model implementation class 2.77 (scales 1-3).

Many design engineers in cross-domain industries have attended training classes of TRIZ to improve their innovative abilities in China. Most of them are successful, but others are not. So the latest target of the trainers is to improve the training process used now in industry in China and to make the engineers to understand the basic principles of TRIZ better. Based on the mass-engineer-oriented training model (MEOTM) and mechanical engineers' design cases, a relationship between managing activities about the opportunities for innovation and the training process is set up. It is shown that the inventive problems come first from opportunity searching for engineers. A training and gate system for evaluation is developed to involve the managing activities of the companies in the training process. Then comparison between the general analogous process and the application of TRIZ is made, which shows the advantages and depth principles of TRIZ for the engineers to apply them confidently. Lastly a new process is formed in which opportunity searching, engineers training, inventive problems identifying and solving,and three redesign paths are connected seamlessly. The research proposes an opportunity-driven redesign path that cooperates the training and opportunity searching, which will be applied in future training classes to make more and more engineers to follow.
