Abstract:Creep tests at high temperatures have been carried out in an Al-Al2O3 binary alloy and an Al-Al2O3-Si ternary alloy with different grain sizes. Dislocation structures after the steady-state creep have been observed in the temperature range from about 473K to 873K. The creep behaviour and the contribution of grain boundary sliding in a low stress range at temperatures above 773K have been examined in detail in the Al-Al2O3 alloy.Dislocations were generally distributed rather uniformly, being pinned to dispersed… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
