This article describes the combined calibration development of rolls of conventional tube forming mill, which provides high-quality forming of the transversal profile of a tube billet in open preforming stands with its minimum springing in the elastic unloading areas. The technical effect is the increased product yield due to elimination of corrugation upon forming of thin-and extremely thin-walled tubes, including products from high strength steel, as well as the decrease in metal consumption rate due to reduction of clean-up allowance of initial billet width.
