The purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of internationalization on the business performance of firms in Laos as a transition economy. Using a panel dataset collected by the World Bank for 285 firms during the period 2009, 2012, and 2016 in the service and manufacturing industries, the two-steps Heckman regression results found robust evidence for the fact that the S-curve tie exists between the degree of internationalization and business performance of firms in Laos while controlling other factors. Specifically, if firms have a degree of internationalization lower than 0.4374, they will suffer losses due to the high cost of preparing for phase 1 which is market penetration. Then, when the degree of internationalization continues to increase from 0.4374 to 0.9131, firms will gain benefits from internationalization (phase 2), however, these benefits will deteriorate when the degree of internationalization is greater than 0.9131 (phase 3), meaning that firms will no longer be able to exploit economies of scale or advantages in target markets, or product cycles will fall into a state of decline. Interestingly, we also found that firms with a high concentration level of ownership and internationalization activities may achieve better performance than those with a low concentration of ownership and one which carried out internationalization activities.

Product-harm crises often lead to negative publicity which substantially affects the consumers intention to make a purchase. This study attempts to investigate the influence of a product-harm crisis on consumer purchasing behaviour. Consumers are the most essential stakeholders for any organization, their core behavior is very vital for financial affluence and successful marketing. This study aims to investigate the influence of a product-harm crisis on consumer purchasing behaviour, with reference to the Listeriosis crisis. Data was collected from 384 randomly selected food retail store shoppers at empangeni and Richards Bay, using a quantitative research approach. Data was collected through the use of questionnaires. The findings from this study revealed that there was a positive significant correlation between the level of education and post-purchase behaviour. These findings suggest that consumers that are more educated tend to be more critical in analyzing a crisis. This study contributes to the existing body of knowledge on brand management by examining the influence of a product-harm crisis on consumer purchasing behaviour. The research concludes that brands should always have a positive relationship with consumers. Mainly because this current study has revealed that consumers response to a brand crisis is determined by the relationship they share with the brand along with the prior expectations they had about the brand.

The teaching occupation and the essential tasks and duties of teachers are necessary for developing every nation's human resources. The teachers are the pillar of our country, and without them, the standard of our education will suffer since teachers are the nearest to the human mind and are prime drivers of economic development. Therefore, educational administration and organizational factors play a pivotal role in making teachers motivated and satisfied to sustain their academic institutions' jobs and should focus on switching jobs frequently. This study examined the association between organizational and teacher retention in eight private secondary schools in Lyari town Karachi, Sindh Pakistan. The study formulated three objectives and hypotheses. The research design was a correlation—the population of the study comprised of teachers from schools. A random sampling technique was used, and a questionnaire was distributed among 200 teachers to collect data. Data were gathered using an instrument that was self-made with the help of literature reviewed and experts' suggestions. The questionnaire was validated and piloted. The Cronbach Alpha coefficient was determined. Ensure the reliability at 0.85, respectively. The Pearson correlation statistic was used to test the hypotheses. The findings reveal significant relationships between teachers' salary packages, teachers' workload, professional development opportunities, and teachers' retention in schools. Further, the study's findings reveal that educational administration and management align with government compensation policies regarding teachers' salaries and promotions and focus on their teaching workload and other fringe benefits.
