“…The most widely used research method in the analyzed studies was quantitative (66.9%), with most studies conducting surveys, followed by qualitative studies (15.6%), in a majority of which interviews were conducted, and mixed-method studies (11%), which used both qualitative and quantitative methods (see Table 1). Research ranged from studies conducted from the perspective of tourists, using surveys or experiments to measure the concrete responsible behavior of tourists (e.g., Dias et al, 2021; Hu & Sung, 2022), to studies on other tourism stakeholders using predominantly qualitative approaches (e.g., Musavengane, 2019).
