Abstract: The poor capacity retention of the silicon (Si) anode has hindered its widespread use in lithium-ion batteries. Metal− organic-frameworks (MOF) may offer the structural and functional tunability needed to alleviate some of the longstanding problems associated with silicon pulverization.
