This research aimed to describe the character of project-based learning that uses e-worksheets with the integration of Pancasila values. This qualitative descriptive research uses interview techniques, observation, and literature study in data collection. Based on the observation results, each feature of the Pancasila student profile dimension was reflected in the learning syntax with the expected development criteria. The project-based learning is beneficial in developing the Character of Pancasila through the student strengthening project. Characteristics of project-based learning include: (1) independently, from planning, preparation, and manufacture to product presentation; (2) full responsibility for the project created; (3) involving peers, teachers, parents, and even the community; (4) train students' critical and creative thinking skills; and (5) space for dissemination of ideas. The Pancasila learner profile's dimensions are reflected in the electronic learner worksheet, within each project-based learning syntax presented in learning activities. The syntax for project-based learning includes (1) basic questions; (2) designing project planning; (3) developing a schedule; (4) monitoring project activity and development; (5) testing results; and (6) evaluating the learning experience. By following this syntax, students are expected to develop the dimensions of the Pancasila learner profile, which include: (1) believing in and fearing God, and having noble character; (2) embracing global diversity; (3) working collaboratively; (4) being independent; (5) critical reasoning; and (6) being creative.

<span lang="EN-US">This study systematically reviews and analyzes previous studies’ literature to identify the research gaps and the steps that must be taken for research on critical thinking in further mathematics education. Two methods, namely bibliometric analysis and descriptive content analysis, were used to achieve this goal. Data for the bibliometric analysis was obtained from the Scopus database, with the keywords “critical thinking” and “mathematics” Documents accessed are limited to the publication range of 2012-2022. The results show that the number of critical thinking research in mathematics has increased significantly, with a peak in 2021 of 65 articles; the United States has the most research and citations. The source that received the most citations was the journal Educational Studies in Mathematics. The evolution of the theme of critical thinking in mathematics began to link critical thinking with collaboration learning, mathematics education, teacher education, engineering, education, and collaborative learning. The quantitative approach with a student sample, tests as data collection instruments, and the analysis of variance (ANOVA) method is the methodology most often used by researchers. The results of this study are likely helpful for other researchers who will examine critical thinking skills in mathematics, namely as a research guide that they will develop. In addition, the existence of several research gaps can motivate other researchers to fill these gaps to contribute to improving the quality of critical thinking in mathematics.</span>

The imperative to address climate change in educational curricula stems from its profound implications for the sustainability of human life. A crucial aspect of this education is fostering critical thinking (CT) in students, as they form their perspectives on climate change. Traditional teaching approaches alone have proven inadequate in developing students' CT concerning this complex issue, particularly when learning remotely. To address this challenge, students must be actively engaged with the realities of climate change. In response to this need, the current study aimed to apply the problem-based learning (PBL) in remote learning scenario utilizing climate change virtual reality (VR) video in mobile application to train students’ CT skills. Utilizing a mixed method approach, the study involved 86 high school students, divided evenly between experimental and control groups, using a 'true experimental design' to quantify CT skill improvements. Complementing the quantitative data, the study also conducted semi-structured interviews with teachers participating in the interventions, providing valuable insights into their responses to the learning methods. The instruments used to measure students' CT skills were carefully validated for psychometric properties (validity and reliability). The study's overall findings indicate that the PBL approach integrated with climate change VR videos in mobile applications effectively enhances students' critical thinking skills, surpassing the outcomes of traditional teaching methods. Moreover, the feedback received from teachers who took part in the teaching interventions was overwhelmingly positive, reinforcing the efficacy of the learning approach. This research highlights the significance of implementing PBL and VR experiences to cultivate CT among students, particularly in the context of climate change education.
