Croatian national reference Y-STR haplotype database

Abstract: A reference Y-chromosome short tandem repeat (STR) haplotype database is needed for Y-STR match interpretation as well as for national and regional characterization of populations. “…The frequency of this haplogroup varies from 20.5 to 38.4% in different areas of that country but is always present in higher proportions than R1b.
