Cross sections for the Reactions 66Zn(d,n)67Ga, 52Cr(d,2n)52gMn and 186 W (d,2n)186Re

Abstract: Experimental cross sections for the reactions 66 Zn(d, n) 67 Ga, S2 Cr(d, 2n)" g Mn, and l86 W(d, 2n) 186 Re are reported. The values obtained are compared with the cross sections expected from the systematics. Zusammenfassung Es werden experimentelle Wirkungsquerschnitte für die Reaktionen 66 Zn(d, n) 67 Ga, 52 Cr(d, 2n)" g Mn und 186 W(d, 2n) 186 Re angegeben. Die erhaltenen Werte werden verglichen mit Wirkungsquerschnitten, die aufgrund einer Systematik abgeschätzt wurden. Risumi On^ourni des valeurs experi… Show more

“…But in the low energy region the deviation shows the weakness in the experimental data. The 3σ limit was selected to discard the data and on that basis most of the data by Nassiff and Münzel [26] and the lower most values by Pement and Wolke [25] were neglected. All the other data points were fitted and the recommended curve with 95% confidence limits is given in Fig.…”

“…The experiments were performed in a manner similar to that outlined in previous papers [9][10][11][12][13]. Stacks of lead foils (-31.2 mg/cm 2 ) were irradiated in the external beam of the 60 inch Synchrocyclotron.…”

“…There are two nuclear reactions, 186 W(p,n) 186 Re and 186 W(d,2n) 186 Re, which may be used to produce the carrier-free 186 Re. The excitation function for the 186 W(d,2n) 186 Re reaction has been measured [5,6]. However, the excitation function for the 186 W(p,n) 186 Re reaction was not known until the work of Shigeta et al [7].…”
