“…For this model, which we report, CI-O distances ranged from 1.25 (6) to 1.67 (9) A with an average of 1.42 A while the O-C1-O angles ranged from 90 (3) to 127 (4) ° with an average of 109 ° . These averages agree well with values reported for perchlorate groups where disorder was not a problem (Ou, Miskowski, Lalancette, Potenza & Schugar, 1976) while the ranges are approximately the same as those found for other structures with disordered perchlorate groups (Jungst & Stucky, 1974;Curtis, McCormick & Waters, 1973). Several attempts to model the disordered ethylamino group, by allowing it to occupy either two or three sites, proved unrewarding.…”

“…130° as is found in Cu(NH2CH2C-H2SCH3)z(C104)z. 23 Examination of the packing diagram shows that the C104-ion in C u ( p y~)~( C l O~)~ is experiencing a tight fit in the lattice. The Cu-O(2)-Cl angle is large apparently to minimize nonbonded interactions between C10, polymer,20 where Cu-N = 2.529 (9) i .…”

“…This is an unusual situation, for such a Cu-O-Cl angle is generally ca. 130°as is found in Cu(NH2CH2C-H2SCH3)2(C104)2 23. Examination of the packing diagram shows that the C104" ion in Cu(pyz)2(C104)2 is experiencing a tight fit in the lattice.…”

“…Our long-term interest in copper and sulfur chemistry has led us to prepare various stable thioether, thiolate, persulfide, disulfide, and cluster complexes of Cu(II) and/or Cu(I). We now present a first approach toward developing a detailed assignment of the individual ligand Rydberg, LF, LMCT, MLCT, and possible MMCT absorptions in mixed-valence polynuclear Cu(I)/Cu(II) cluster complexes containing bridging thiolate ligands.…”
