Crystal and molecular structure of 17α‐acetoxy‐21‐hydroxy‐1,4‐pregnadiene‐3,20‐dione

Abstract

The title compound 17a-acetoxy-21-hydroxy-l,4-pregnadiene-3,2O-dione crystallizes in the orthorhombic space group P 2 2,2! with four molecules in the unit cell and the lattice parameters a = 10.950, b = 11.857, c = 15.634 A. The crystal structure was determined by direct methods and refined by full matrix least squares calculations up to the discrepancy factor R = 0.050.Die Titelverbindung 17a-Acetoxy-21-hydroxy-1,4-pregnadien-3,20-dion kristallisiert in der orthorhombischen Raumgruppe P 2,2,2, mit vier Molekiilen in der Elementarzelle und den Gitterkonstanten a = 10,950, b = 11,857, c = 15,634 A. Die Kristallstruktur wurde mit direkten Methoden bestimmt und mit der Methode der kleinsten Quadrate bis zu einem R-Wert von 0,050 verfeinert.
