Crystal structure of 2-benzoyl-3-(4-chlorophenyl)cyclopropane-1,1- dicarbonitrile, C18H11ClN2O

Abstract: Source of materialAmixture of triphenylarsine (0.167 g, 0.15 mmol), phenacyl bromide (0.238 g, 1.2mmol), 2-(4-chlorobenzylidene)malononitrile (1 mmol), and NaHCO 3 (0.240 g, 3mmol) was stirred in CH 3 CN at room temperature. The progress of the reaction was monitored by thin-layer chromatography (TLC). Afterc ompletion, water was added and the product was extracted with ethyl acetate.
