Abstract:DiscussionSÌ6O7CI10 is a structural link between the eight-membered ring compound S14O4CI8 [2] and the cubane like silsesquioxane SÌ8O12CI8 [3]. SÌ6O7CI10 marks one step in the reaction sequence between S1CI4 and O2 leading to amorphous S1O2. This isomer of SÌ6O7CI10 is a bicyclic compound consisting of two edge connected eight-membered rings.
