Abstract: C 26 H 18 CdI 2 N 2 , monoclinic, P2 1 /c (no. 14), a = 16.805(4) Å, b = 10.693(3) Å, c = 14.737(3) Å, b = 115.24(2)°, Source of materialThe title compound was synthesized through the coordination reaction between CdI 2 and phenanthridine at 1:2 molar ratio in refluxed anhydrous ethanol solution. A mixture of CdI 2 (1.06 mmol) and phenanthridine (2.12 mmol) was dissolved in ethanol (50 ml) solution.
