Crystal structure of ochraceolide A isolated fromElaeodendron trichotomum(Turcz.) Lundell

Abstract: The title compound, C 30 H 44 O 3 [systematic name: 6aR,6 bR,8aS,9aR,12aR,-14bR)-4,4,6a,6;b,8a,14b-hexamethyl-12-, is a triterpene lactone, which was isolated from dichloromethane extract of Elaeodendron trichotomum (Turcz.) Lundell (celastraceae) stem bark. The compound has a lupane skeleton and consists of four fused six-membered rings and two five-membered rings. In the crystal, molecules are linked by weak C-HÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds into a threedimensional network. The configuration of ochraceolide A was pro… Show more

“…Chemicals such as phenyltrimethylammonium tribromide (PTAB), thiourea, triethylamine, pyridine, acetyl chloride, propionyl chloride, butyryl chloride, isobutyryl chloride, valeroyl chloride, isovaleryl chloride, benzoyl chloride, p-toluoyl chloride, 4-methoxybenzoyl chloride, 4-fluorobenzoyl chloride, 4chlorobenzoyl chloride, 4-nitrobenzoyl chloride, 2-furoyl chloride, 5-methyl-2-furoyl chloride, 5-nitro-2furoyl chloride, and solvents from commercial sources were used as received. Ochraceolide A (1) was obtained from Elaeodendron trichotomum the stem bark, as previously reported (Herrera-España et al 2017). High-resolution mass spectra (FAB) were taken on a JEOL GC-Mate II Mass-spectrometer.…”
