Abstract: The t1avoprotein NADH peroxidase (NPX) from Streptococcus .fi1ecalis represents one of two known flavin-dependent hydroperoxidases. Its flavin-linked function is chemically similar to flavoprotein disulfide reductases such as glutathioi1e reductase.
