“…Gregorio et al47 found that the β‐phase PVDF shows similar melting temperature with α‐phase. Zhao et al48 found that the melting peak temperature of β‐phase PVDF in PVDF/PMMA blends produced by solution casting is about 163°C, which is lower than that of neat PVDF (α phase). In fact, many factors, such as experimental instruments and conditions, raw material and error in calculating the peak temperature, can result in the difference in the melting peak temperature.…”

“…The band at 1736 cm −1 due to carbonyl group (C0O) stretching [15] indicates the existence of PMMA in the control sample and composites. On the other hand, the strong bands at 976, 854, 762, 613, and 532 cm −1 [29,30] are characteristic of the α phase of PVDF, while the weak bands at 841 and 510 cm −1 indicate the existence of minute quantities of the β phase. As a result, we can conclude that the addition of TiO 2 or SiO 2 does not change the crystalline phase composition of the PVDF.…”

“…based on [29,31,32]. Here, X α and X β are the degrees of crystallinity of the α and β phases, and A α and A β are the absorbancies at 762 and 841 cm −1 , related to the α and β phases of PVDF, respectively.…”

“…This phenomenon might be caused by the cooperation of rapid crystallization and the special solvent environment [116] (Fig. 10).…”
