CT Imaging of Neonatal Hypoglycemia

Abstract

We describe a case of a six-day-old infant with neonatal hypoglycemia with extensive brain damage. Computed Tomographic images exhibited parenchymal loss in the occipital and parietal lobes and thinning of the cortex through out the brain. lateral ventricles. The basal ganglia, temporal and frontal lobes were spared.
