Abstract:A malformação cardíaca é a anomalia congênita isolada mais comum, é responsável por 3% a 5% das mortes no período neonatal. Seu reconhecimento o mais precoce possível é fundamental diante da implicação prognóstica, devido à rápida deterioração clínica e alta mortalidade. Cerca de 20-30% das crianças morrem no primeiro mês de vida, por insuficiência cardíaca ou crises de hipóxia.
