Abstract:To elucidate mechanisms of fruit deformation in apple, we investigated deformation of 'Fuji', 'Megumi', 'Tsugaru', and 'Orin'. Among these cultivars, no significant difference was nored in the deformation indexes among weight classes, suggesting that they deformed similarly, irrespective of the fruit size.
