Curative Value of Ampicillin in Small Animals and Susceptibility of Isolated Organisms to Ampicillin

Abstract: SUMMARY rized as follows.1. Of the 68 animals tested, 54 recovered well by the treatment of ampicillin. Good results were obtained from most of the animals affected with alimentary and urinary tract infections and from 80% or more of the animals suffering from suppurative dermatitides and respiratory tract infections. Only poor responses were observed in most of the cases of abscess, otitis and endometritis.2.
