Current cholera epidemics in west Africa and risks of imported cases in European countries

Abstract: The summer of 2005 has been marked by a wave of cholera outbreaks in west Africa. Several outbreaks of varying intensity are currently occurring in Senegal, Burkina Faso, Mali, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Niger, Mauritania, Liberia and Nigeria
