Current place of vasopressin analogues in the treatment of septic shock

Abstract: Arginine vasopressin and terlipressin increase mean arterial pressure and reduce catecholamine requirements in septic shock patients. Infusing either agent may reduce incidence of new-onset tachyarrhythmias and improve renal function.
