“…Facing to the growing problems in global environmental area, to use environmentally friendly fully biodegradable green composites is substantially increased and expected by various industries and families. [ 1 ] Aside from the traditional composites consisting of the nondegradable thermoplastic polymers, [ 2 ] e.g., polyethylene, polyesters, poly(methyl methacrylate), and the thermosetting polymers such as the epoxy and polyurethane, the fully biodegradable green composites composing of renewable and sustainable resources [ 3–7 ] are recently greatly reported elsewhere. [8][9][10][11][12][13] As a natural and renewable material, the water-soluble tea polyphenols, TP, has been broadly applied as natural antioxidant to eliminate the free radicals in human body, to protect ultraviolet, UV, effect, as the resisting agent for treatment of the cancer, tumor, antiviral, anti-inflammatory and the deodorization.…”

“…3 It is commonly processed using chemical pulping such as Kraft and sulfite pulping, thermomechanical pulping (TMP), or chemithermomechanical pulping (CTMP) to produce, for example, fibers, nanocrystals, and derivates for paper, material, pharmaceutical, and food applications. [4][5][6] During cellulose refining a large part of lignin and hemicelluloses often ends up in waste pulping liquor. The latter is then used for combustion to regenerate pulping chemicals (NaOH and Na 2 S) and produce steam and electricity for the pulping operation.…”

“…Compared with other biopolymers in food packaging sector, BNC can be produced as a full membrane of any shape and size. It also possesses numerous unique properties such as high elasticity, crystallinity and degree of polymerization, chemical purity, and, thanks to ultrafine network structure, outstanding mechanical properties [ 133 ]. The environmental friendliness, edibility, biodegradability, nontoxicity, good barrier selectivity, and moldability make bionanocellulose a suitable food packaging.…”
