Current state of local populations Tulipa greigii Regel (Liliaceae) in Uzbekistan

Abstract: Our research was carried out in the ridges of the Western Tien Shan (Uzbekistan). The study analyzed the age structure of 9 local populations (LP) of Tulipa greigii Regel. The ontogenetic structure of T. greigii local populations is represented by two types of spectrum – left-sided (LP 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9) and centered (LP 3, 7). The studied local populations of T. greigii are normal, incomplete. It is noted that the studied local populations are young and mature. The scientific justification of the ways of ec… Show more

“…Research on the ontogenesis of the species in 2000-2007 were carried out by Rahimov (2007) on the territory of Tajikistan of the western Pamir Alai. In recent years, many studies have been carried out in Uzbekistan in this direction (Abduraimov et al 2022). Botanical descriptions were made for all the communities where the population structure of species had been studied according to the generally accepted methods on 100 m 2 plots.…”

“…In recent years, there has been increasing interest in studying the ecology and population of the native flora of Central Asia, including Uzbekistan, due to various reasons including the need for such flora for protection (Shomurodov et al 2021), their importance as food and medicinal sources (Abduraimov et al 2022;, the state that some species are rare and endangered (Rakhimova et al 2020;. In particular, there is scientific importance to study the flora and vegetation cover of the Turkestan Ridge and the bordering territories bordering several existing studies include Suleymanov (2008), Batirova (2011), Tirkasheva (2011), Esankulov (2011, Azimova (2018), Abdullaeva (2020) and .…”

“…The peculiarity of fauna and flora is due to its mixed characteristics: Indo‐Himalayan, Mongolian, Eurasian, and Mediterranean species are present. Uzbekistan in the heart of Central Asia has a diversity of habitats that are globally and regionally important in ecological functions (Abduraimov et al, 2023). Uzbekistan features diverse landscapes, encompassing high mountain ranges, expansive steppes, deserts, and riparian wetlands.…”
